Situated close to Melbourne in the western suburbs we are in a prime locations.

The Position:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual or two to join our team in the workshop. As a Wheel Alignment Mechanic, you will be required to carry out all mechanical duties such as fitting and balancing tyres, wheel alignment, suspension and general servicing of wheels, tyres and supplementary products as directed. Working within a team you will identify and rectify faults in vehicle stability and tyre wear by checking tyre fitment, wheels, and balance, conducting road testing if required. You will also identify and interpret tyre and rim regulations, in accordance to relevant requirements and safety. Some of the general tasks are:

  • Drive customer vehicles into the workshop
  • Complete required technical work as outlined by job card.
  • Work to KPI’s and workshop targets as set by the workshop manager.
  • Build relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Ensure all administration relating to the workshop is completed effectively.
  • Work closely with other departments and find opportunities to improve operations.

Qualifications – Desirable:

  • Current First Aid certificate and the commitment to renew as required.
  • Certificate IV in Automotive related field

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential):

  • 2 years (minimum) experience in a mechanical trade environment
  • Knowledge and experience of Automotive industry.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure practical and manual environment
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Full manual driver's license
  • Current satisfactory Police Check
  • Ability to work within and business Code of Conduct and values in all interactions.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable):

  • Knowledge of motor vehicle practices and relevant experience.
  • Understanding the importance of attention to detail and relevant strategies to ensure safety standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Understanding and experience in time management in order to accomplish objectives effectively within the time frame given.
  • General administrative knowledge and experience that matched the requirements of the position.
  • A genuine interest in the industry
