Welder /Fabricator
We have an exciting opportunity to join our company as a Welder/Fabricator who can demonstrate exceptional technical skills in both MIG and TIG welding. The role will involve the fabrication and welding of products for various industries including motorsports and automotive industry.
About us
We have been providing high quality products and components to the motorsport and automotive industry for over 10 years. Caged Laser Engineering started out producing roll bars and roll cages for Caterham Cars. Since then, we have built relationships with customers of all sizes, including F1 teams.
About You
Reporting to the workshop manager, you will be a key team member as a Fabricator/Welder. You will be a highly skilled Fabricator/Welder with the ability to MIG and TIG weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The ability to read drawings is essential along with being able to fabricate from these drawings.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
- MIG & TIG welding; mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
- Surface Cleaning and Polishing.
- Working unsupervised.
- Implementing health and safety policies.
- Maintaining accuracy.
- Focusing on creating a finished product.
- Time and project management.
- Being professional and responsible.
- Being a team player
Essential Criteria:
- At least 3 Years’ Experience of MIG and TIG Welding and Fabrication.
- Proficient in a wide variety of fabrication tooling and techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Understand numerical and mathematical calculations and data.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience of working in the motorsports industry
- MIG/TIG Welding qualification.
