Warehouse Supervisor Weekend Shift

RallySport Direct is looking for its next enthusiast to join our team as a Warehouse Supervisor.

Shift Hours: 4-Day work week / Friday and Mondays, 8:00a-7:00p AND Saturday and Sundays, 6:00a-5:00p

The Warehouse Supervisor works under the general direction and guidance of the Warehouse Manager and or Assistant Warehouse Manager and is responsible for assisting with oversight and managing the day-to-day operations in the warehouse. The position will have an area of responsibility such as picking, shipping, receiving, RMA, etc. while ensuring work is accomplished in a timely manner, discrepancies reported, and placement and movement of product is kept in order to keep stock replenished and up to date. Experience in day-to-day operations in a warehouse is critical in this role, as well as providing a culture of leadership and accountability in the warehouse.

Where you’ll spend your time:

  • Provide leadership to staff and create an environment that fosters effective, goal-focused, performance for individuals and group
  • Help create and implement daily operational goals and metrics to ensure the warehouse that is assigned meets and delivers industry-leading service levels and efficiencies
  • Establish or follow proper processes, tools, and resources to continuously optimize the fulfillment operations and shipping logistics of the warehouse
  • Manage projects required to achieve key business initiatives and objectives
  • Works with managers to assess training needs of staff and arrange for or provide appropriate instruction including monthly safety training
  • Work with warehouse managers to lead staff meetings to relay general information or to address specific topics
  • Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth, or career development
  • Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals
  • Prioritize work, direct staff, and assign duties to complete daily duties
  • Participate in the hiring process by reviewing credentials, conducting interviews, or making hiring decisions or recommendations.
  • Perform the same work duties as those supervised or perform more difficult or skilled tasks to assist in their performance.
  • Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for the effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
  • Resolve personnel problems or complaints when possible or refer them to higher-level management or Human Resources for resolution.
  • Review work throughout the process flow and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly
  • Research and resolve errors as well as develop procedures to reduce errors
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and ensure organization for efficiency and safety
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.

You have/possess:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a distribution environment including experience as a lead or supervisor
  • Experience working with state-of-the-art fulfillment operations and warehouse management systems
  • Proven track record in problem-solving, and overall process improvement
  • Technically savvy with intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Instant Messaging
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Goal-oriented with focusing on driving results

Your work environment:

  • Requires extended periods of walking and standing, bending and twisting, and overall repetitive movement
  • Requires working in a warehouse with varying temperatures
  • Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects; requires working in cramped workspaces and getting in awkward positions; exposure to hazardous equipment, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable
  • Requires using ladders, forklifts, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 team lift
  • Requires speaking/reading in English.
