Vehicle Planner

Description:

Responsible for developing detailed build specifications and vehicle orders for prototype and pre-production development properties, using an engineering database system. This individual will work closely with the platform team, Test Planning Engineers, and Vehicle Integration Leads to determine build quantitates and requirements to execute effective test and validation programs.

Requirements:
Define and document Powertrain test requirements for Prototype, Pre-production, production vehicles and Engine / Transmission Dynos. Collaborate with Powertrain vehicle custodians, MIM’s, Core Engine Program Managers, ER&D group, and Vehicle Integration to verify testing requirements match Powertrain DVP plans. Responsible for completing the Powertrain sections of the Vehicle Validation Plan (VVP) worksheets for each vehicle platform. Document vehicle and dyno requirements into the web database IPTBS by scheduled deadline. The test planner supports all the requirements to meet a development plan and ensures only those vehicles and dynos required are ordered. Analyze and scrub the quantities to ensure all requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • · Bachelor's Degree
  • · Prior experience in program management or vehicle validation and testing
  • · Experience/proficiency in working with web base systems
  • · Experience/proficiency in working with web base systems.
  • · Ability to work on multiple programs simultaneously
  • · Excellent Communication Skills
  • · Lotus Notes.
  • · Excellent Organizational Skills.

Will be required to drive a company car. Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record. 
May be required to travel domestically and internationally 20%
