VEHICLE PERFORMANCE ENGINEER

An exciting opportunity exists for a Vehicle Performance Engineer within our Vehicle Dynamics Team.

The role is multi-disciplinary and may include simulation studies, analysis tool development, race & test support, model correlation, performance analysis, chassis rig testing, evaluation of new concepts and DIL simulator operations. The position will involve close cooperation with the Software, Design Office, Race Engineering, Aerodynamics, Controls & Tyre groups.

Experience in the following is required:

  • Matlab coding.
  • Data analysis.
  • C#, .NET, Python or other programming languages.
  • Modelling in Simulink / Simpack / Dymola.

Experience in the following is preferred but not essential:

  • Suspension performance development.
  • ATLAS.
  • Data Science analysis and visualisation techniques.

The ideal candidate will possess an excellent degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Data Science or a related discipline, exhibiting strong problem solving and mathematical skills. The ability to work effectively whether as part of a cross-functional team or with minimal supervision is a prerequisite, as is the capacity to report complex technical information clearly and professionally.

Previous high-level motorsport experience is preferred but not essential – capable candidates from alternative sectors will be considered.
