Vehicle Line Project Engineer

As the Vehicle Line Project Engineer, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to do the following:

  • Work with various cross-functional engineering and design teams, operations, finance, and vendors to recognize, assess, and communicate issues and risks that impact schedule and budget
  • Directly responsible for schedule, cost, and scope containment for the EV product lifecycle
  • Create and track development, build, and launch plans with a cross functional team of manufacturing engineers, design engineers, procurement / buyers, finance, and vendors
  • Develop and manage inter-connected projects and coordinate cross-project activities.
  • Identify and escalate program risks
  • Develop and execute risk mitigation plans needed. Manage deadline, budgets and activities. Implement Scrum methodologies

Basically, you’ll ensure that you are driving the programs needed to hit the company milestones.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in engineering or technology, or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of experience in Project Management, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting, or other high-performance organization
  • Experience with setting up project forecasts and managing project spend

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, business administration or related advanced degree.
  • Experience in Scrum values, practices, and applications and provide a level of knowledge and expertise above and beyond that of typical project managers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple activities/projects, priorities, and people in a fast-paced, high-growth, results-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data at a macro and micro level
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of product development processes
  • Ability to simultaneously focus on the near and long-term aspects of the project
  • A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision
  • Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies
  • A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
  • Skilled in project management tools such as Jira and Confluence, significant experience administering and setting up Jira for Scrum facilitation and reporting
