UX Designer & Developer

Autosport Media UK is looking for a talented UX designer and developer to work on our digital motorsport brands. You will be working within a dedicated agile in-house digital team and be tasked to produce high-quality digital experiences for global motorsport brands, from concept through to implementation.

You will be involved in the UX, visual design and all front-end aspects of our products - not just the look of the website, but determining how it works, suggest improvements and utilise tried and tested UX best practices.

You're not afraid to get hands-on with code – you will be comfortable taking on projects from initial conception to final delivery.

Working predominantly with our in-house product team, you will be collaborating with other departments to ensure your work meets not only our users' needs – but also our business objectives.

From wire-framing, prototyping, designing hi-fidelity mock-ups and confident in building experiences with code - we're looking for the ideal digital design all-rounder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholder to deliver high quality digital products
  • Wireframe, design and deliver a consistent level across a variety of platforms and brands.
  • Work with the UX Director to design and introduce new functionality and experiences across all our digital properties
  • Advocate design principles, champion techniques and exceptional design - someone who looks at the latest trends and is keen to experiment with new technologies.
  • Through design thinking and working with data, help improve key metrics across out titles.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Excellent creative design ability – with an eye for pixel-perfect design
  • Passion for design and creativity across mobile and web projects
  • Expert level proficiency across design software - primarily the Adobe CC suite
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5 & CSS3 – with the ability to create working prototypes as well as understanding and manipulating existing code.
  • Comfortable with developing and experimenting with JavaScript/JQuery
  • Experience of developing with responsive frameworks eg Bootstrap and Foundation
  • Must be comfortable multi-tasking, with their own time management.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to clearly articulate your design methods and thinking within the team.
  • You have an online portfolio the demonstrates your skills and experience.

Beneficial, but not essential:

  • A knowledge and understanding of key web design trends and latest techniques
  • Keen to learn new skills
  • Understanding of version control methods

Qualifications Required (not essential):

  • Degree in a relevant design/development subject – or you’re very good!

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £45,000.00 /year

Experience:
