UK Sales Manager

Based out of our Nottingham HQ, we are looking for a Sales Manager for our UK based customers, along with some strategic account management for some key accounts.

The two focus areas for the position are to maximise our software footprint within existing accounts along with engagement of engineering services projects to offer technical expertise or additional support resource, and to establish and progress new named customers to add to our user base.

Objectives:

  • Identify new strategic business opportunities in existing accounts.
  • Prospect for new sales opportunities across the territory in all sectors.
  • Develop, manage & execute strategic account plans for key accounts.
  • Provide accurate and detailed forecasts.
  • Travel to meet customers, prospects and partners to further the Romax network and grow the business.
  • Attain personal quarterly and annual targets.
  • Secure future engineering services projects.

Desired Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to discuss, scope and negotiate projects and contracts and to develop new opportunities for the business. The role will include identifying and securing new clientele, involvement in aspects of engineering consultancy projects from formulation of scope of work, to proposals and liaison with customers, providing input and guidance to the marketing team and feeding back product guidance to the development team.

Essential requirements are:

  • Mechanical Engineering or related degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in business development
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales
  • Existing experience in sales and/or engineering within a mechanical/software engineering consultancy

General requirements are:

  • to be comfortable with project management and client liaison
  • to deliver quality presentation material for sales
  • to be innovative in business development
  • to be an excellent self-manager and be able to work without close supervision in a flexible environment
