Trim and Assembly Technician

We are currently recruiting for a number of Trim and Assembly Technicians to join our team producing high quality parts for motorsport and the premium automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle composite materials and tools
  • Rout, trim, drill and sand composite components to supplied drawings
  • Abrade, clean and bond composite components using adhesives
  • Build assemblies of composite parts using mechanical fasteners
  • Follow build manuals and quality control processes
  • Fabricate templates and jigs to facilitate assembly, trimming and bonding
  • Resolution of quality issues as they arise
  • Compliance with all health and safety and PPE requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • Comfortable using common hand tools and air tools
  • Able to interpret basic instruction via detailed drawings / instructions
  • Able to work to tight tolerances
  • An understanding of engineering drawings
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate shift work if required
  • Ability to organise and prioritise your workload

Desirables:

  • Experience in the composite industry
  • Basic understanding of composite component construction
  • Experience in auto body repair and finishing
