An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Motor Sport Team at BMTR, for a Trainee motorsport tyre technician to work as part of our dynamic team.
BMTR Motorsport is part of BMTR (Birmingham Motor Tyres Ltd), started in 1919, BMTR is one of the only long standing true distributors in the UK. We are very proud of our history but also must always look to the future.
As this is a trainee position, you will be expected to get involved in all aspects of the department and support the team in ensuring its smooth running.
Key areas of training and duties will be:
- Assisting at motorsport events across the UK and Europe – setting up the service trucks at events and supporting other staff on site.
- Assisting to ensure that the warehouse stock is kept tidy
- Assisting to ensure that the truck fleet is kept clean and tidy and is in good working order inside and out
- Assisting with loading and unloading tyres and equipment for events
As an effective member of the team you will be committed to the provision of good customer service, have excellent communication skills and have the drive to learn all that encompasses the role, having a real interest in motorsport, such as Hillclimbing, Circuit or Rally would a great advantage. In response, the Company will ensure that you are trained in all aspects of the role and work with you to gain your Motorsport Tyre Technician status.
