Track Official - Waterbox

Job Overview

  • Great job for responsible people out of High School, in College, or in the Military with a good work ethic and enjoys Drag Racing!

  • Duties range from keeping the waterbox clean (where cars do their burnouts), waving cars into the waterbox, pushing off broken cars from the starting line, operating track equipment, and cleaning up oil downs and accidents. This position is best for people who are fit enough to stand on their feet during the day and know how to hustle.

  • We are looking for people that are looking for long term part time employment (several years), not people that want to work for just a few months.

  • Mechanical or car knowledge is not required.

  • Must be at least 18 years old, have a driver's license, and your own transportation.

  • With late nights and early mornings at MDIR all applicants need to live close to MDIR, no more than 30-40 minutes away from the track.

  • We race on Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. You will work on average 1-2 days per weekend and sometimes all 3 days on major events. Each work day can range from 6 hours - 14 hours.

  • $8.75 per hour.

  • You receive a "Season Pass" for you and one guest at MDIR.

  • You receive 50% off all food & drinks in the concessions stand on days you are working.
