Tire Technician

The Tire Technician is responsible for the safe installation, repair, removal, mounting, balance, and rotation of tires and wheels. Tire Technicians are also responsible for performing flat repairs on tires as requested by management, in addition to correctly inflating and properly reinstalling on the vehicle.

The ideal candidate must have a strong physical dexterity, a valid drivers license, good communication skills and basic computer proficiency. He or she must be able to work productively and independently in a fast-paced team environment and be able to deliver quality results in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Removes and Installs tires and wheels on vehicles pre-selected by management through established processes
  • Mount, balance, rotate, and do flat repairs on tires
  • Properly completes work orders
  • Maintains the proper functioning of all service tools and equipment
  • Notifies management immediately of any issues
  • Follows all safety and security procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tire experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Required to have knowledge of personal protective equipment
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Dedication to punctuality and attendance is vital
  • Highly productive with minimal supervision
  • Physically able to perform all job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
