Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing tire tests, reviewing, fitting, making recommendations on collected data, and scaling models with the use of simulation. Perform extensive work on more advanced tire modeling projects and other vehicle modeling and simulation tasks.
Requirement:
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Development Engineer Staff, or in a related occupation. Also, require experience/knowledge in the following areas:
– Knowledge of tire model fitting routines from Flat-Trac and Wheel Force Transducer data
– Experience and understanding of using Pacejka Magic tire models and how tire makeup and construction effect model parameters
– Understanding and parameterization of F-Tire and MF-SWIFT tire model
– Experience in developing advanced tire models that include wear and thermal effects
– Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and Python scripting languages
– Detailed knowledge of tire design, development and manufacturing processes
