Position Purpose

  • Ticket Sales & Service Manager is responsible for increasing attendance and incremental revenue through outbound consumer sales efforts for assigned Auto Club Speedway events.  
  • The Ticket Sales & Service Manager provides leadership and day to day management of the outbound sales team here at Auto Club Speedway. 
  • The Ticket Sales & Service Manager will assist in building a sales culture within the ticket sales team conducive to hitting the company’s overall sales goals. 
  • Ticket Sales & Service Manager will maintain and grow the organization’s consumer ticket base and cultivate relationships with Auto Club Speedway fans.  
  • The Ticket Sales & Service Manager will work with ISC resources, such as the Sales Academy, to build out best practice strategies focused on retention, renewal and development of new sales towards Auto Club Speedway’s portfolio of events.  
  • Ticket Sales & Service Manager will also be responsible for attending lead generation events throughout the community as needed (i.e., chamber events, ticket promotion events, trade shows, etc.).  
  • The Ticket Sales & Service Manager position is a full-time role involving event weekend and occasional extended weekday hours as needed.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Serve as the leader amongst the sales team providing training, sales motivation, and developing creative ideas to increase sales
  • Take a leadership role in our outbound ticket sales program by maintaining a minimum of 60 calls per day
  • Creates new markets for consumer and group tickets sales through industry research, cold/warm calls, outside sales meetings, and networking lead generation
  • Supports leadership in strategic planning surrounding consumer and group focused ticket sales
  • Maintain on-going sales training plans
  • Develops a list of prospects from resource materials and company records
  • Maintains existing customer accounts and develops new customer accounts
  • Process orders and invoices using ticketing software
  • Establishes professional customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel
  • Follows up with non-renewals and lapsed customers with sale options
  • Sets and maintains a weekly ticket sales goal
  • Assists in goal setting for ticket sales staff
  • Daily engagement with ISC ticket sales leadership team
  • Post-event evaluation of overall customer’s experience and renewal follow up
  • Work on consumer outbound call campaigns when needed to increase overall ticket sales
  • Assist when needed with the creation and development of sales and promotional materials related to ticket sales 
  • Maintain CRM records for consumer accounts, group customers and prospects
  • Support Raceway staff during event weekends as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications  

  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a top sales professional within the sports industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing or related field
  • Effective communication, organizational, analytical, and time management skills
  • Professional in appearance and communication (written – verbal – presentation)
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Contagious and positive attitude
  • Ability to work evenings, and weekends as scheduled
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Outlook
