We have a new vacancy within our team as a Technology Simulation and Modelling Engineer. This position will be within our Engineering Office based in Enstone and will make a significant contribution to our car performance.
Technology Simulation and Modelling Engineer – The Role
Reporting to the Head of Technology, this role encompasses the modelling of vehicle mechanical and fluid systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining physical models of vehicle sub-systems.
- Validating models using relevant track or rig data.
- Undertaking data mining and data manipulation.
- Growing simulation tools / methodologies focusing on robustness, quality and efficiency.
- Supporting car optimisation developments by performing trade-off and sensitivity studies.
Technology Simulation and Modelling Engineer – The Person
We are looking for a motivated and proactive person with grounding in classical mechanics, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Previous experience in motorsport is advantageous but not essential.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in a relevant subject (Engineering, Mathematics or Physics).
- Proven industry experience in simulation working with acausal and physical modelling tools such as Simscape and Dymola.
