Apprenticeship

Your main duties will include

  • Fitting performance parts and servicing to performance cars day to day
  • Prepping the 5 car race team for race weekends
  • 4 wheel alignments
  • Corner weighting
  • Race setup requirements
  • Aside from these jobs we expect the workshop to be kept clean and tidy
  • All the race cars to be in top condition at all times
  • The race lorry loaded and prepared for race weekends

Requirements and prospects Desired skills

Good eye for measuring so we can teach you how to do 4 wheel alignment the motorsport way (WITH STRINGS).

Personal qualities

Good at listening and not having a problem with asking questions instead of assuming the answer.

Respectable and able to mix with all people. Our drivers in the race team are from all different back grounds and age groups.

  • Standard grades of English, Maths and Science

Future prospects

We are looking to grow our team the whole time so this position could easily become a full time role.

Things to consider

We go away racing around the UK 7 times a year which you will be expected to come.

The National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.70 an hour from the 1st of April 2018. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year olds; £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £7.83 for those over 25.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
