Founded in 1993, QA1 is an industry leader in performance shocks, suspension components, composite driveshafts, rod ends, spherical bearings and related accessories for the motorsports and industrial markets. QA1 has more than 100,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space in Lakeville, Minnesota. The state-of-the-art facility includes a complete line of CNC machines, hydraulic presses, filament winding and laser cutting equipment that permit all-inclusive shock absorber, suspension component and composite driveshaft manufacturing and assembly operations. QA1’s quality system is certified to the ISO 9001 standard.

Summary: Responsible for supporting the company’s sales goals through excellent customer service. Provide accurate technical assistance on company products and their applications, maintain quality relations with existing accounts, and provide sales coverage.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Applies knowledge of vehicle suspension systems and company products and applications to provide technical assistance and product information to end users and dealers via phone, email and webinar correspondence.
  • Enters and processes orders received via phone, email, fax, and EDI / B2B sources.
  • Provides product cross reference information, current pricing, and delivery to inquiring customers.
  • Communicates regularly with the production team to obtain relevant ETA and delivery information on out of stock products. Advises customers with any applicable updates.
  • Develops knowledge of the company's products and services, as well as an understanding of the industry.
  • Understands and responds to end user and dealer inquiries and complaints in a diplomatic manner.
  • Maintains “customer interaction” information, customer contacts, orders, and RMAs in company ERP system.
  • Identifies incoming new opportunities and asks questions to qualify the opportunity before passing on to account managers.
  • Travels and attends company events and trade shows as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Four to six years related experience and/or training in vehicle suspension systems.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external parties.
  • Strong math ability.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Experience in circle track racing and/or auto-cross.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Office 365 applications.
  • Previous customer service experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency in word processing software, spreadsheet software, inventory software, internet software, and order processing systems.
