Technical Sales Account Manager

Reaction Engines is looking for a Technical Sales Account Manager (Automotive & Motorsport). You will be responsible for key accounts (prospect and existing), helping strengthen relationships, providing both technical and commercial assistance in order to both retain and grow business through product sales and consulting services. As a senior team member you will work closely with the CCO in developing a sales strategy to increase the company's global automotive revenue targets through direct sales, partnerships and strategic alliances. Target clients will be major Automotive and Motorsport brands and niche automotive engineering businesses where you will be identifying, managing and growing a high value account base.

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing portfolio of clientele to strengthen and embed relationships
  • Identify and establish new global business
  • Gain specifications and present solutions through to quotation stage, working with engineering team
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements
  • Support development of strategic plans that align with the Company's vision and objectives
  • Deliver productive engagement with industry
  • Lead market research and identification, analysis & winning of new business opportunities
  • Coordinate business cases and proposals for presentation to the Executive LeadershipTeam, Board and Investors
  • Lead new product studies, utilising capability within the engineering team
  • Work alongside marketing to ensure appropriate and focused marketing effort andcampaigns
  • Develop a broad external network, build effective relationships and influence key stakeholders
  • Establish develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies to ensure an integrated contribution to Reaction Engines’ corporate objectives
  • Observe and comply with policies and procedures for Health and Safety at Work and observe and continually promote equal opportunities and customer care in compliance with organisational aims and objectives.
  • Participate in learning and development activities that develop personal effectiveness and assist in improving performance in the role.
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required in line with the level of responsibility of the post and in order to meet the changing needs of the organisation

Qualifications

  • Engineering related degree or similar level of sector experience
  • Scientific or engineering degree or equivalent industrial experience

Experience

  • Strong technical understanding of heat exchanger an advantage
  • Excellent relationship building experience developed in the automotive and or motorsport sectors
  • Strong sales background or someone who is strong technically but looking to move into a sales role
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Exceptional technical and commercial experience
  • Proven, demonstrable track record in achieving sales growth
  • Automotive /or High Technology and/or Energy Industry experience
  • Team Leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM an advantage
  • Motorsport/F1 experience
  • Automotive cooling systems experience
  • Technology startup/growth business experience or top tier consulting experience
  • Taking new, disruptive products to market
  • Experience writing business cases and proposals in an R&D environment
  • Experience working with and report composition to Investors and Company Boards
