Role Overview

This Technical Program Manager role will primarily be focused on delivering Exterior & Interior system components to the defined vehicle program with an emphasis on gathering and implementing solutions cross functionally with various stakeholders.  Experience with Exterior & Interior systems is a must. The applicant must have a bias to action delivering results and be able to communicate effectively with cross-collaborative teams. The role requires exceptional organizational skills and consistent communication while building strong working relationships. This TPM will report to the Senior Technical Program Manager under the engineering department. Outside of daily engineering responsibilities, this TPM will assist the Senior TPM in continuously improving current systems and methodologies within the engineering department.

Responsibilities

•Work closely with the Exterior & Interior team to successfully drive development for 2022 vehicle launch

•Work with engineering and program to develop master delivery schedule 

•Manage Exterior & Interior Jira projects to report status and escalate any high-risk issues 

•Collaborate with powertrain, chassis, and ADAS program manager(s) to ensure cohesive communication between the domains 

•Track and monitor Exterior & Interior system development to ensure timely execution for launch 

•Continuously support Exterior & Interior team and help identify and/or fill in any necessary gaps 

•Assist Senior TPM in continuously improving reporting systems and engineering methodologies 

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline 

•5-8 years professional experience in program management and Body engineering 

•Basic understanding of exterior & interior design engineering  

•Open minded to learning new systems and methodologies 

•Able to work independently in a fast-paced start-up environment

•Proficient with Jira/Confluence

•Exceptional communication skills and ability to create strong working relationships within cross-functional teams 

Preferred Skills

•BS or MS in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, other Engineering discipline, or MBA

•Automotive OEM experience highly preferred 

•High proficiency with Jira/Confluence software – understanding of Jira systems structure and strategy in automotive environment 

•Experience creating and implementing new processes
