As a Technical Buyer at Mercedes AMG HPP, your role will be to source high complex technical components within extremely aggressive deadlines and budgets. You will create clear parts status reports and tactical introduction plans to meet demand for both F1 and Automotive programmes. You will take accountability for external supply chain performance to meet the agreed costs, quality and delivery targets.

Responsibilities for this role are as follows:
- Purchase Order creation
- Eliminating parts shortages, confirming future delivery dates to Build and Programme Management
- Improve Purchasing performance KPI's
- Identify, implement and improve savings / cost reduction / productivity objectives
- Purchasing risk management and reporting
- Maintaining and improving high performance relationship with suppliers
Skills
Strong commercial instinct and knowledge of where best to invest procurement resource and you will have the ability to develop robust procurement process and strategy, along with supply chain management and development
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to effectively manage both external supplier and internal customer relationships and you will have invaluable negotiation and dispute resolution skills
Experience
Experience in the purchasing of engineered products and services in a fast paced environment i.e. motor sport, automotive or retail/FMCG
Experience working with SAP, and will also have knowledge and experience of Contract Law, although this is not essential
Knowledge
Minimum of a 2:1 class at degree level in Engineering/ Economics/ Business Studies or equivalent Vocational Qualifications
MCIPS qualified would be desirable, although not essential
UK Driving License or otherwise the ability to legally drive within the UK
