Our background and your main purpose...

Ruroc has grown from £1m rev to a £20m+ revenue Action / MotorSports helmet brand selling into over 90 countries globally from its single distribution centre in Gloucester.

All sales take place through Ruroc’s e-commerce store www.ruroc.com giving Ruroc a direct connection to its customers that legacy/competitor brands do not possess. This close connection to the end rider has given us the ability to rapidly innovate and enhance our gear at a rate never before seen in the global helmet industry.

Ruroc riders typically range between 22-35 and are predominantly male, however, we are seeing rapid growth in the female helmet market. Our riders are adventurers who live active lifestyles and don’t like spending too much time indoors.

We control our destiny; we manage everything end-to-end to deliver our promise to customers and fulfil the potential of the Ruroc Brand. We are building a world-class team of Product, Brand, Marketing, Customer, Operations, Tech, Finance and Talent/HR people.

We are building a forward-thinking finance function to enable the business to motor forward and continue the growth journey we are on. To achieve this, we are searching for an experienced tax accountant whose eye is in the detail. The ideal candidate will be obsessive in ensuring that we are complicit in all areas of the business.

Reporting directly to Ruroc’s Finance Director, as Tax & Compliance Manager you will be an experienced self-starter with a get-up and go attitude. You will strive for perfection in the quest for global compliance, hunting for data, fact-finding and asking questions across the wider business. You will manage the day-to-day Global tax affairs of Ruroc, ensuring we are complicit in all local jurisdictions. While 75% of your time will be spent on managing ‘todays’ tax affairs you will also be given the freedom to assess and implement new systems, processes and best practices whilst understanding new legislation to ensure efficiencies are made.

As one of the key members of the finance function, you will also be asked to assist/undertake ad hoc project work as we strive to deliver five-star service to the internal functions of the business.
