Aurora hires people who want to build the future of transportation. We are searching for Systems Engineers. You will define, architect, test and integrate the self-driving system operating on Aurora-powered vehicles around the world. In this role, you will work closely with our founders, partners, suppliers, and engineers to integrate state of the art hardware and software systems into the next generation vehicles these will power.
Responsibilities
- Architect and define behavioral and performance requirements for electrical, mechanical, and software systems and subsystems
- Lead the integration of Aurora’s self-driving hardware, software, and data services with automotive partners
- Work with hardware and software engineering teams to adapt the self-driving system to target vehicle platforms and ensure requirements are met
- Develop and document detailed test plans for ensuring system requirements are met
- Support technical and strategic planning, leading conversations with key stakeholders to develop concepts for initiatives, and developing those into detailed program plans
- Develop technical requirements at a system and subsystem level based on functions and feature requirements for the vehicle
- Execute detailed work plans for vehicle integration and testing that spans across multiple stakeholders including scheduling and cross functional interaction
