Job Description

Summary

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of a System Analyst based in our Daytona Beach, FL office. The Ticketing System Analyst directly supports our mission by assisting with the development of ticketing technology solutions in effort to deliver the best buying experience. The System Analyst will work closely with various teams to optimize use of technologies to ensure operational efficiencies. Analyst is responsible for monitoring system capabilities, gathering and analyzing business requirements, and providing recommendations for improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs any combination of the following duties according to specific departmental guidelines:

  • Provides technology support for the business on ticketing and consumer applications
  • Assists with implementation of ticketing technology and consumer admissions key strategic initiatives
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on ways to enhance and simplify the user experience
  • Frequently review system setup to ensure a consistent data structure based on standardization rules
  • Works closely with track liaisons on application configuration recommendations and execution
  • Cross functional QA responsibilities
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with ticketing software; preferably Tickets.com
  • Qualified candidate should have a strong knowledge of current sports ticket sales and operations
  • Box office experience preferred
  • 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to manage projects from conception to implementation
  • Familiarity with the sport of NASCAR is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Advanced excel skills requested
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Self-starter, able to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision

Education and/or Experience

Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical interface, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software.
