To help deliver against this global vision we are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our join the IT Infrastructure department at Formula 1.

This role will report into the Senior IT Systems Manager and be responsible for ensuring that Formula 1’s IT systems are correctly commissioned, maintained and operated so that it continues to meet Formula 1’s on-going business and production objectives.

Based at our Biggin Hill office in Kent, this is a varied and rewarding role where proactivity and initiative are always required.

 You will be required to:

  • Make appropriate changes and additions to the IT Systems infrastructure within Change management processes and SOX controls
  • Adhere to internal and external governance, i.e., SOX, ISO27001 and PCI-DSS
  • Document IT systems and assist the documentation process within the department
  • Drive innovation in IT, reviewing current technology offerings and identifying improvements
  • Manage projects through lifecycle, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are engaged
  • Manage and maintain back up and recoverability testing of the IT Systems
  • Liaise with equipment and software vendors to as part of on-going maintenance and upgrades, in addition to specifying contracts and SLA’s
  • Monitor and maintain the IT Systems for the IT Infrastructure department across fixed sites, cloud and at Grand Prix events
  • Maintain the IT Infrastructure Systems so that it is compliant with current data protections regulations (e.g., GDPR) and current financial compliance (e.g., SOX)
  • Maintain infrastructure in line with IT Systems disaster recovery plan
  • Provide and maintain a secure IT operating environment for the business, and produce root cause analysis reports in case of failures and issues
  • Provide user support and act as point of escalation for support team
  • Keep abreast of developments in the IT Industry, and consider proactively how these may be incorporated into the IT Systems Infrastructure

About You

With an ability to progress projects from concept to delivery, you will be flexible in your approach and have exceptional communication skills.

Essential:

  • Degree, HND/C in IT related Subject (or relevant experience)
  • Significant experience in a technically challenging role
  • Experience in MS 365, SQL & MS Exchange and Azure AD
  • Available work on IT systems outside of usual ‘Business Hours’, both planned and unplanned
  • Ability to travel within the UK and Internationally

 Desired:

  • Industry recognised certifications in relevant subject category
  • Azure Certifications
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Experience with Virtualisation and working in a hybrid environment.
  • Experience with CRM solutions - Salesforce and MS Dynamics 365
  • EU Driving Licence
