Stores Operative

The company:

Williams is one of the world’s leading Formula 1 teams. It exists purely to race in the top echelon of motor racing, where it has been winning Grands Prix for more than three decades. The Williams name has been synonymous with top-level motorsport since the 1960s.

The position:

We are currently seeking a Stores Operative to join our busy and fast-paced team.

The role:

This is a varied role in an exciting environment and to succeed you will need to be adaptable, demonstrate initiative along with the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the effective, efficient running of the Stores department. Stores daily duties include assisting with material stores and clothing stores. Also, problem-solving, along with attention to detail and a can-do attitude are important attributes to be a success in this role. With a collaborative approach, good communication and organization skills, you will enjoy working as part of a team and relish a challenge.

Skills and operational duties in use every day:

Using multiple computer stock and reporting systems (Chorus, K-trakker, Cognos, Sieki and Excel)
Stock control of car parts and consumables
Reordering and restocking of consumables
Process car parts from external processes/supplies and deliver to the inspection department

Core Skills:

The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and strong communication skills, be proactive and be able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, and dynamic environment. Previous stores experience would be an advantage but not essential.

Shifts available:

For these roles we have a choice of three shifts available:

4 days on, 4 days off

Alternating early/late shift

Nights

The Williams Group is based in Grove, Oxfordshire. We are a short 5 minutes’ from Wantage, our closest town center. We have an on-site gym which is free to use for all staff and contractors and we also have a subsidised restaurant on site.
