As Electrical Engineer for MTS you will be responsible for all phases of design, development and support of large, custom, industrial control systems, Power Drives, Motor Controls and Tuning Drives.

Major Areas of Accountability:
- Developing reliable industrial control systems, modular code development and testing.
- Design, release and support projects and product development in a team setting by delivering electric subsystems for the test equipment.
- Lead advancement in our Industrial Controls development methods and processes.
- Follow MTS processes and procedures. Adhere to accepted industry and MTS standards.
- Support Sales and sale pursuits by providing technical guidance and project cost estimates.
- Support other functions and promote cross-functional environment (Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Checkout) to ensure efficient project delivery.
Basic Qualifications:

BS deg. in Engineering & 7 yrs of progressively demanding project/design experience

Knowledge and experience with industrial closed-loop controls, instrumentation and signal conditioning
- Knowledge and experience with PLC’s.
- Knowledge and experience with electric motors, drives, and theory of operation.
Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- Experience with Siemens, experience with Pilz Safety family of products also highly desired.
