WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Generate ideas, conceptual designs, solid models, surfaces, and engineering drawings for a variety of assignments related to the safety, cost and competition aspects of high performance vehicles. 
  • Collaborate with engineering and competition teams to create and execute design solutions.
  • Generate ideas and concepts using hand sketches, and create solid models and engineering drawings.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with other employees.
  • Produce surface data to generate tooling to produce metal vehicle body stampings and composite vehicle body parts.
  • Generate solid models and surfaces suitable for analysis with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  • Formulate, design, and coordinate fabrication of inspection fixtures, prototype components, and test components.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external suppliers related to various projects.

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Minimum of Bachelors of Science Degree in mechanical engineering. 
  • The ideal candidate would have experience in the use of Computer Aided Design software (Creo Parametric strongly preferred).
