WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Generate ideas, conceptual designs, solid models, surfaces, and engineering drawings for a variety of assignments related to the safety, cost and competition aspects of high performance vehicles.
- Collaborate with engineering and competition teams to create and execute design solutions.
- Generate ideas and concepts using hand sketches, and create solid models and engineering drawings.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with other employees.
- Produce surface data to generate tooling to produce metal vehicle body stampings and composite vehicle body parts.
- Generate solid models and surfaces suitable for analysis with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Formulate, design, and coordinate fabrication of inspection fixtures, prototype components, and test components.
- Coordinate and communicate with external suppliers related to various projects.
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:
- Minimum of Bachelors of Science Degree in mechanical engineering.
- The ideal candidate would have experience in the use of Computer Aided Design software (Creo Parametric strongly preferred).
