Social Medial & Events Coordinator

Basic Function
Coordinate and assist in planning consumer and corporate events. Organize the preparation of proposals and presentations using marketing resource materials such as digital assets, data, slide templates, photography, and monthly measurement reports. Manage all social media platforms. Prepare status reports on marketing efforts. To perform this job successfully, an individual shall be familiar with standard Marketing concepts and practices and follow accepted business practices. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The qualified individual shall be responsible for a variety of public relations and communications activities. He or she shall be expected to perform a variety of tasks and will work under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Extended hours may be necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Events

  • Maintain all marketing event calendars, including all global, dealer, consumer and corporate events.
  • Plan and coordinate services for events, such as accommodation and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing and event security, etc. Attendance is required.
  • Coordinate internal and external marketing efforts to support promotion of company and/or consumer events in consultation with management.
  • Hands-on involvement in a variety of marketing logistics, including event production through booth scheduling and shipping, collateral coordination and premium ordering.
  • Maximize company brands visibility/exposure in every event.
  • Generate photo, video and other content to be used for social media and website postings and updates.
  • Track all marketing events, invoices and expenses against budget: assist in compiling budget information and processing payments.
  • Conduct post-event evaluation and report on outcomes.
  • Assist with daily operation of the marketing team such as PO creation/receiving, SO creation, Invoice processing and occasional shipping.
  • Provide day to day support related to all consumer and corporate events.
  • Provide administrative support as assigned, directly and indirectly associated with events.

Social Media

  • Develop calendar and create content for social media postings that is in line with company’s values and objectives. Posts require management approval.
  • Manage, maintain and grow social media presence of Giti and GT Radial brands through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, You Tube and LinkedIn.
  • Work with agencies or outside vendors in maintenance of social media strategies, if services are being used.
  • Leverage and involve dealers/consumers in social media campaigns.
  • Coordination of an ongoing schedule of maintenance, monitoring and measurement will be necessary for success of SM campaigns.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review and report output on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results.

Brand Ambassador

  • Develop a program that will help find the right influencers that will assist in company brand promotions either thru events or social media.
  • Evaluate ambassadors thoroughly based on company’s influencers criteria.
  • Maintain an ongoing, professional and positive relationship with all influencers.
  • Ensure that brand ambassadors are aware of company values and objectives.
  • Assess effectiveness of ambassadors and take necessary actions whether to cease or improve the partnership.
  • Manage and maintain all motorsport contingency programs to include both product (tire) and cash payouts.

Demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously. Require self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner in all communications. Must demonstrate effective verbal communication skills and have the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department. High energy level and sense of humor are essential.

Database and spreadsheet software ability highly desirable. Must have familiarity with most types of modern office equipment including copiers, computers, phones and fax machines. Knowledge of SEO / SEM / search services is preferred. English fluency is essential.

Job will require travel either on weekdays and weekend and possibly on some holidays.

Education / Training
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, and/or related area and/or experience in Marketing Communications

Experience
4-5 years of experience in prior Marketing and/or public relations and/or large company with multiple concurrent projects preferred.
