Social Media Strategist

The Social Media Strategist works across the ECS Tuning and Turner Motorsport brands to serve as the lead social ambassador. In this role, the Social Media Strategist will collaborate with members of the Marketing, Product, Sales and Research & Development teams to define and execute on social strategies that increase brand engagement and improve our level of engagement with the European car enthusiast community.

The Social Media Strategist will ensure that the key elements of our brand (our ties to the enthusiast community; our tenets of being customer focused; making work enjoyable for our associates; and creating win-win partnerships with vendors) are regularly presented on Social media to our customers and fan base. Additionally, the Social Media Strategist will work with market influencers as well as engage with customers on automotive forum sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Define our Social Media Strategy for ECS Tuning and Turner Motorsport - (including our social brand voices; topics to cover on a regular and ad-hoc basis; and best ways to create social buzz around new product launches) to achieve traffic and revenue growth goals.
  • Define our day-to-day social media schedule (topics to be discussed, content to be posted); implement the strategy and manage/respond to posts as needed.
  • Ensure that the key elements of our brand (our ties to the enthusiast community; our tenets of being customer focused; making work enjoyable for our associates; and creating win-win partnerships with vendors) are regularly presented on Social media to our customers and fan base.
  • Work with Marketing designers and content specialists to ensure that all content is relevant, informative and engaging.
  • Work with our SEO team to ensure that social content is fully optimized and supports our brand SEO strategy.
  • Define, track and report on social media KPI’s on a weekly basis.
  • Manage and oversee social media content.
  • Work with automotive community influencers to obtain publicity for our brands and parts. Coordinate parts orders and other needs as required.
  • Appear on camera for live social broadcasts (either from our facility or on location at a community event).
  • Attend car shows and other enthusiast community events to engage with customers and fans. Manage social media efforts while live at those locations.
  • Post relevant content in Facebook groups and Automotive Forum sites. Engage with customers to answer questions in those groups.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business, or other related fields.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years digital experience, particularly with, but not limited to, social media, web and emerging technologies
  • Automotive enthusiast (with experience in the German automotive market strongly preferred) who regularly attends car shows and other events; and interacts with other members of the automotive community.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills. Comfortable working with numbers and defining strategies to improve results.
  • Must be extremely comfortable on camera and interacting with members of the enthusiast community.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Social Media strategy is well defined and includes measurable strategies to drive success against traffic and revenue goals.
  • Social media calendar is scheduled out in advance for both ECS and Turner Motorsport; across all platforms. Calendar reflects engaging content for the enthusiast community, mixed in with new product releases; brand building content and other
  • Regularly growing/improving social media leading indicators (fans, likes, shares, follows, etc) and trailing indicators (revenue attributed to social media).
  • Highly structured updates provided to Marketing leadership team on a weekly basis - statistics, upcoming plans, strategies and action plans to drive improvement.
  • Strong working relationship with Product, R&D, and Marketing teams.
