Social Media & Community Manager - Motorsport

Do you know motorsport inside out? Do you have a passion for social media and know what is going to get people engaged? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a social media and community manager to join a team working across a FIA-endorsed world championship. We are looking for someone who has a vast knowledge of social media platforms - and also what’s coming next in these areas. The successful candidate would work with our content producers, project lead and social media managers to develop and execute an online video distribution and digital community growth plan. This role would cover our work with motorsport clients, as well as the esports industry.

Key skills and knowledge

  • Excellent in-depth understanding of all relevant social media platforms - YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat
  • Strong knowledge and experience of digital publishing software and techniques.
  • Strong copywriting skills including excellent spelling and grammar, as well as writing techniques to capture particular audiences
  • Ongoing awareness and interest in trends across social media, digital publishing, online video and sports output internationally
  • Experience of social media strategy, KPIs and goals to increase a digital audience and engagement
  • Knowledge of relevant sporting audiences (in particular motorsports and esports)
  • Contribute to creative ideas for video content as part of output strategy
  • Planning social content and maintaining the content calendar ensuring social media content is regular, relevant and engaging
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience in a client-facing role
  • Engaging with fans and followers to build relationships with the community and encourage engagement
  • Build relationships with customers, industry professionals and journalists
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
  • Monitoring the success of the community and of social media in terms of the overall marketing strategy

  • Work flexible days, according to the appropriate sports-related calendar

  • Able to perform under pressure and to work to tight timescales
  • Be a good communicator with strong relationship management skills
  • Salary dependent on experience

Salary/Rate Competitive

Working Days 5 days a week, Monday to Friday (some weekend work required)
