We have an opportunity for semi – skilled Sheet Metal Fabricators to join our team based in Abingdon. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return receive a competitive salary of £20,000 – £30,000 per annum.
Zircotec specialises in heat management. We are experts in plasma-spray processing, production of high-performance surface coatings, heat shields and finishes. We apply this knowledge to a broad range of sectors including motorsport, general automotive, nuclear, aerospace, defence, niche vehicles and off-highway. Zircotec is poised for exponential growth within the next year. Our heat shield department is undergoing rapid growth to support this exciting expansion. Projects involve work within agriculture, F1, automotive and motorsport. We are looking to add enthusiastic, can-do attitude members to our team in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, where there will be opportunities for growth and development.
Our ideal Sheet Metal Fabricator will have the below skills and experience:
- Forming and handling of thin gauge sheet metals
- Use of press and form tooling
- Working to engineering drawings
- Basic measuring
- Use of basic sheet metal forming hand tools
- Handling of performance insulations
- Resistance fast spotter welding and spot weld machining
- Actively supporting parts, tooling and process improvements
We are looking for semi-skilled sheet metal fabricators to work within our performance heat shield manufacturing department. The role involves sheet metal forming, assembly, machine operating etc. Experience specifically in spot welding is not essential but would be a bonus.
You will be required to work 07.00 – 16.15 Monday -Thursday (45 min lunch), 7.00 – 12.00 Friday plus overtime when required.
