Job Description

Responsible for providing excellent customer service on troubleshooting welding systems and administering the warranty for the TIG team. This position is the champion for all service related issues.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides customer service - answers phone calls, answers technical questions, and is adept at conflict resolution.
  • Supports distribution resources (District Managers & Account Managers)
  • Accompanies Level 3 Service Technicians on field repair visits (observes and learns)
  • Processes service returns
  • Manages the reconditioned inventory list (data entry into the system)
  • Provides production line support under guidance of a Level 2 or 3 Service Technician.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology, or related field
  • Enrollment and completion of trouble shooting and process classes (SC1, Meters Probs)
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics
  • Basic product line understanding
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, outlook, test sheet systems, performs software updates)
  • Strength in customer service with demonstrated troubleshooting skills preferred.
  • Welding systems product knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be a self starter, aggressive, and a good team player and possess the ability to make independent decisions and follow through to completion.
  • Good communication and listening skills are required.
