We’re looking for an experienced, talented and enthusiastic transmission design engineer to join our highly skilled F1 transmission design team.
Our open minded design office offers everyone the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the development of our F1 cars. This role will enjoy involvement in all stages of the design process, from initial concepts, through detail design, to data analysis and evaluation of performance improvements.
The successful applicant will take ownership of significant components of our F1 transmission design, taking responsibility for the design of high precision parts and assemblies, and ensuring that attention to detail is applied to all aspects of their work.
Key elements of the position are:
- Leading design projects
- Creative approach to design challenges
- Liaising with stress analysts, performing calculations for the design of gears, bearings and shafts
- Specification of dyno testing requirements in conjunction with dyno test engineers and technicians
- Analysis of test and performance data
- Technical discussion with suppliers and manufacturing colleagues
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience of transmission design and testing within the Motorsport industry
- Proficiency in the use of 3D CAD (Training in Siemens NX can be given)
- A degree or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
