Role Overview

You will be at the forefront of technology, creating the foundation which will power Fisker’s leading-edge powertrain experience for our customers.  In this role, you will be working collaboratively with a team on multiple tasks related to the battery charging system; including As a Senior Charging Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing a state-of-the-art battery charging system. Flexibility in a growth environment is a key skill, and ability to manage ad hoc assignments from management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a charging system specification
  • Life assessment
  • Test and validation planning
  • Usage profiles
  • Working with suppliers on on-time deliveries

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of charging systems; including on-board, DCFC and wireless charging
  • Knowledge of battery systems
  • Familiarity of high-voltage powertrain and architecture
  • Familiarity with some analysis tools, such as Matlab, Simulink
  • Familiarity with safety analysis, D/PFMEA and functional safety
  • Experience defining test and validation plans
  • Good analytical and problem solving

Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant professional experience
  • BS or MS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline
