JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

The Sr Software Engineer is responsible for full lifecycle software application development including design, implementation and quality assurance testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications
  • Design, code and debug applications in Visual Studio using C# .NET (WPF/ASP.NET) as well as knowledge of other coding langauges.
  • Design front end user interface design
  • Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
  • Mentor junior members of the team, provide technical support to project team members, lead technical project teams.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations for all technical project including level of effort, timelines and maintenance training for support staff.
  • Support, maintain and document software functionality
  • Implement localization or globalization of software
  • Support and/or installation of software applications/operating systems
  • Responsible for the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
  • Weekends: Due to the nature of our sport and event schedule, some weekend work will be required
  • Travel: 5% including weekends

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school and eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, music notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Advanced skills on all company provided hardware, software and networks, and computer programming languages. Must have good understanding of programming concepts.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

MCSD preferred.
