The position:
We are looking to recruit a Senior Performance Engineer. Working within our Vehicle Performance Department, the successful candidate will contribute to driving the performance of the current, and future, vehicles.
The role:
The role is primarily factory-based and would suit someone with extensive trackside experience but who would now prefer to undertake less travelling
This varied role will include but not be limited to:
Identification of performance opportunities following track events
Analysis of potential performance opportunities using, for example:
Desktop simulation
Driver-in-loop simulation
Statistical methods
Bespoke code
Written and verbal reporting of performance opportunities, including potential solutions
Setting of performance targets for future vehicles
Core competencies:
Contribute to the overall technical strategy for Vehicle Performance
Provide support for various projects across the entire team as may be required from time to time.
Core Skills:
A proven aptitude for Simulation and Data Analysis activities is essential:
Must have a numerate background, such as, a good Degree or Masters in an Engineering, Mathematics or Science related subject
A successful track record of working in high performance motorsport, including extensive track experience, ideally in Formula One
Experience of using ATLAS and MATLAB
Experience in the following would be beneficial:
RaceWatch timing software
Formula One regulations
Basic race car vehicle dynamics and aerodynamics
Race or Performance engineering in high performance motorsport
