The position:

Williams Grand Prix Engineering is continuing to invest in its Planning and Parts Management capability, and we’re excited to announce another role that will be critical to the success of our future F1 car programmes.
We are seeking a Senior Parts Coordinator to join our Planning team and support the management of parts and assemblies from point of order to end of part life. The role is right at the heart of the team, ensuring we have the right quantities of the right parts at each race weekend. Role purpose:

Our F1 operation is built around delivering a series of complex projects to quality, time and budget. Projects range from race specific developments to full car programmes, involving input from a wide range of business functions.

The Parts Management team carry out several functions within our Planning team:

  • Model quantities required in order to ensure we have availability of parts, whilst balancing utilisation and risk
  • Create demand for parts based on requirements from project plans, quantity models and attrition
  • Allocate components to events, maintaining a view on remaining life and service intervals
  • Monitor usage and adjust demand as appropriate
  • Act as point of contact to the Race Team to provide information on part availability and expected deliveries, highlighting any parts shortages to minimise risk to the overall programme
  • Work with the wider planning team to continuously improve our parts management capability and accuracy

What we’re looking for:

  • You have worked in motorsport, gaining experience in a relevant role to support your application
  • Familiarity with F1 components would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Experience working in an ERP or production management system
  • Analytically minded and methodical worker with strong attention to detail
  • Process oriented and able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with stakeholders across multiple functional areas
