Senior Operative, NDT Technician

Purpose of the Role:

To carry out non-destructive testing and geometrical inspection of metallic and composite components.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Main duties of the role include inspection of both new and in-service parts using a variety of NDT methods and techniques.
  • There will also be an element of geometrical inspection and the requirement to raise non-conformance reports. Experience with CMM or FARO is a strong advantage.
  • Travel to race and test venues will be required throughout the racing calendar.

Job requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • PCN/ASNT level 2 or EN4179/NAS410 in Ultrasonic, Eddy current, Magnetic and Penetrant flaw detection. Experience with Radiography, Computer Tomography and Phased Array is beneficial.
  • Extensive experience with NDT techniques in an aerospace, motorsport or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of composites, composite manufacturing and testing techniques. A previous background in mechanical engineering would be a strong advantage.
  • Working knowledge of best in class NDT process and practices, including that of working with a Quality Management System.
  • Exemplary attention to detail is a must.
