Senior Network Programmer

The position

We’re looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Network Programmer who is ready for the challenge. The role will involve working with our network team to develop all network and online

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Development of our networked and online components on a game project
  • Advising gameplay and content teams and evangelising good network processes
  • Contribute to all network layers on both server and client, not just hand off at the transport layer
  • Offer advice and suggestions for improving the development process
  • To be proactive and help with problem-solving

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for a social, hard-working person who enjoys working in team with other people and is passionate and dedicated about his/her work. The ideal candidate will be strongly skilled in the following:

  • Demonstrate experience of responsibility for the network development on at least one mobile game
  • Advanced understanding of C/C++
  • An advance understanding of game technology principles, the main gaming platforms, and the requirements needed to develop software on them.
  • A broad range of knowledge and experience with the full network stack from low-level UDP through to simple REST services
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Sense of humour?

The following skills are desirable but not essential:

  • Unity
  • Net Core or Mono
  • Playfab
  • Service Fabric or Kubernetes
  • Microsoft Azure cloud or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Jenkins or Team City
