Senior Motion Graphics Designer

To help deliver against this global vision we are seeking a Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join our Digital Content team at our Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill.

Reporting to the Executive Producer, Digital, you will be responsible for supporting digital video, over-the-top & social teams in production of motion graphics.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Pre-Production:

 

  • Create and develop graphical video content for F1 digital platforms, including F1.com/F1 App, F1 social channels, F1 TV and branded series
  • Work both individually and with others in the digital team to conceive, generate and develop ideas, treatments and formats of the highest quality
  • Ensure the highest possible editorial and production standards
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders - including video, social media, commercial, marketing and internal communications teams – on briefs regarding tone of voice, messaging and distribution
  • Take into account analytics and client feedback in ongoing ideation & planning
  • Both generate and receive production briefs to shape for delivery
  • Storyboarding & scripting
  • Strong asset management and organisation
  • Define optimum workflow process to facilitate delivery of graphical outputs around live events

 Post-Production:

  • Engage in a wide range of tasks including selection of media, editing and final delivery in multiple formats
  •  Help manage and maintain media library, folders and production logs
  • Work closely with producers and freelance graphic designers
  • Ensure deadlines are met and brand guidelines adhered to
  • Assist with the creation of still assets and thumbnails to support promotion and CTV
  • Push envelope on design creative and production efficiency

 Organisation & Communication

  • Maintain and optimise production tracking and planning documents
  • Define and orchestrate production process, schedules, third party support where needed, and required budgets
  • Liaise with colleagues in sister departments to align on planning and opportunities to collaborate and share resources
  • Be proactive with ideas and feedback

About You

 

With proven excellence in editorial and motion design, you will be able to apply sound judgement when identifying and implementing the best possible production solutions, and be confident in your delivery of advice to senior stakeholders.

 

Other essential skills include:

 

  • Professional creation of motion graphics for digital/broadcast platforms
  • Knowledge of multiplatform optimisation
  • Expertise in imagery & thumbnails
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite including After Effects and related plug-ins, and Photoshop
  • Must be able to work weekends, including race shifts with occasionally late hours
  • Animate and compose sequences that bring concepts and stories to life

  • Experience working in live sport or news production environment
  • Digital project management
  • Contemporary storytelling
  • Knowledge of high-end motion graphics creation and delivery
  • Thorough grasp of expressions and essential graphics
  • 3D tool and software experience
