We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to join our mechanical design group located within the Aerodynamics department.
The role is suitable for engineers that can demonstrate excellent electro-mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability for problem solving, creating optimised innovative designs to high standards required to develop the wind tunnel model and testing facility.
Job Details
- Completion of projects including all aspects of design for electro/mechanical systems used on the wind tunnel model or wind tunnel facility.
- Capacity to analyse and optimise design to improve performance and reliability of engineering systems.
- Role is factory based but may involve occasional travel.
Candidate Profile
- Mechanical, automotive engineering degree or equivalent.
- Extensive design experience working in F1 or top level motorsport or alternatively within an equivalent high level engineering industry.
- Good knowledge of complex mechanical engineering.
- Excellent CAD skills are required (preferably Catia V5)
- Use of analysis tools such as FEA, Kinematics (ideally with Catia V5)
- Create engineering drawings to BS 8888 with good understanding of GD&T.
- Organized demonstrating the ability to manage work schedule effectively and efficiently to maintain the demanding design deadlines.
