This position: report to the Head of Mechinical Design Engineer or its designee; is located in Maranello (Modena), Italy. Responsible for the design of components and mechanical assemblies related to the frame.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all staff and departments of the team.
  • Design of components and mechanical assemblies related to the F1 chassis. The activity consists of the study and design of components through solid modeling, surface modeling and 2D drawing with the aim of obtaining reliable, high-performance solutions and optimized sizing.
  • The perimeter of the components involved covers suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel and cooling systems, including also the equipment for the homologation of the car and its handling on the ground (for example legality checks, equipment for pit stops, etc.).
  • The design activity also includes technical support to HAAS F1 TEAM external suppliers, with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the design and of the production process and in order to improve the quality of the final products.
  • Follow all safety rules in all locations.
  • Other tasks assigned by their Manager.

 

Education and work experience:

 

  • He must have a degree in mechanical engineering with over 5 years of work experience, where at least 3 years must have been in a professional motorsport’s environment (F1 is preferred).

 

Specialized knowledge and skills:

 

  • Communication, ability to work under pressure, self-motivation, time management, conflict resolution, adaptability, readiness to learn, etc.
  • Able to work in a team environment at a very high level and a positive work attitude.
  • Knowledge of the correct method to use tools and equipment.

 

 Equipment and applications:

 

  • CAD systems: CATIA V5 / V6.
  • PLM: Windchill / 3DX.
