Senior Manager, Partnership Sales Strategy

The Senior Manager, Partnership Sales Strategy works within and across the NASCAR Centralized Sponsorship Sales organization as a key collaborator to accelerate and optimize the go-to-market sales process. As a key member of the Partnership Sales Strategy team, the Senior Manager, Partnership Sales Strategy will be tasked with ideating partner integrations, creating impactful proposals and constructing new sponsorship platforms to present new Official and/or Integrated Multi-Track and Marquee Partnerships in market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work in conjunction with Corporate Partnership Sales team on new business pitches, from the ideation phase via brainstorming and concepting the best approach, providing data-driven insights, tailoring impactful visualizations and developing both templated and customized proposals and packages.  
  • Spearhead the development of external sponsorship and sales templates for Corporate and Regional Sales teams, including NASCAR Sponsorship 101s and Race Entitlement templates
  • Strive to identify new and visually compelling ways to showcase sponsorship opportunities, spotlight unique selling points of the sport and share successes to improve the overall sales story
  • Work closely with Partnership Marketing to understand sponsorship market trends, partner needs and feedback, and best practices and/or case studies that would be shared internally and with prospects
  • Works collaboratively with the Sales team to vet new opportunities for inclusion in proposals with internal constituents within the company, as requested
  • Support pricing, packaging and valuation analysis for proposals in market, as requested
  • In coordination with the Partnership Marketing team, identify and develop new and existing sponsorship programs within internal groups that can be presented as branded ownership platforms

Travel: 10%, including weekends

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Position will have supervisor responsibilities with 1-2 direct reports, though previous hiring and/or managing experience is not required.

Education and/or Experience                                                  

Bachelor's degree from four (4) year college or university required plus a minimum five (5) years of sponsorship marketing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills                                                 

Proficient on all company provided hardware and software

Microsoft Office experience required, specifically PowerPoint at a high level

High level experience with Adobe Photoshop also required – additional knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Spark, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat) or other design programs a plus

Other Skills AND ABILITIES                                                     

Proven track record of success driving strategy behind effective sponsorship and/or marketing campaigns -- from brand awareness to demand generation to conversion

  • Ideal candidate is results driven, creative and strategic thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and have the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience working with NASCAR strongly preferred
  • Experience and relationships with other sports leagues and/or sports marketing agencies also desired
  • Aptitude for leading change in a complex environment and working within a highly matrixed organization
  • Experience with syndicated research tools and output and/or PR tools a plus (Nielsen, Scarborough, Meltwater)
