Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis based in Daytona Beach, Florida.

This position will manage the financial planning and budgetary activities for the Company, including the current and forecasted budgets, reporting and variance analysis.  This will include supporting the Senior Director, FP&A in process development, consolidation, presentation formats, and analysis of data for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.  Responsible for providing timely and accurate analysis of results using company technology and software tools.

Duties include but are not limited to:                                          

  • Leads processes related to financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and analysis functions.
  • Coordinates annual budget process, including all subsequent forecasts.
  • Effectively communicates, coordinates, and provides direction to other departments and key business leaders for upcoming requirements and deadlines.
  • Liaisons with Accounting department to ensure timely and accurate recording of data utilized in forecasting processes.
  • Assists in the development of training materials and conduct end user training for Workday reporting and Adaptive Planning tools to drive knowledge and efficiencies for business partners.
  • In coordination with Business Leaders and Budget Managers, utilizes systems knowledge to create, modify and disseminate Workday reports to drive business analytics and dashboards.
  • Assists with the development, enhancement, and maintenance of metrics and solid analysis to identify potential risk areas and analyze growth opportunities. 
  • Assists with evaluating the on-going financial impact and effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
  • Researches and makes recommendations in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow and output of the department, including technology advancements.
  • Provides support for financial audits, as required.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years experience in financial planning and analysis
  • 3 years experience in a management role with a mid to large size organization
  • Experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning a plus
  • In depth knowledge / understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements
  • Advanced problem solver
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude with proactive and excellent organizational and planning skills
  • CPA/CMA a plus
