Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Field Intensive Technical Service (FITS) is responsible for strategic implementation and management of FITS (field team). This leadership position requires an experienced EV service professional who has provided expertise and leadership in all field service-related processes, systems, tools, and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement FITS global strategy and manage US operations.

  • Establish efficient processes to identify and report complex technical issues in the field as well as effectiveness of diagnostics, software updates, repair plans and corrective actions.

  • Build a high performing FITS team and create a positive environment by fostering open communication and cross-functional collaboration

  • Manage and mentor Technical Specialists to improve operational Fix Right the First Time Key Performance Indicators such as response & deployment time, repeat repair and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with Service Engineering to monitor, investigate and solve emerging technical issues.

  • Aid in the development and improvement of service diagnostic tools and processes.

  • Influence required technical training requirement and development.

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Ten or more years of successfully managing a field service team with hands-on working experience using advanced service diagnostic tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, etc.

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Automotive Technology

  • Working knowledge of EV Powertrain, OTA Technology & High Voltage System is a plus

  • Fluent spoken and written English, additional language is a plus

  • Outstanding technical problem-solving abilities based on the mastery of engineering principles 

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure or within tight time limits

  • High process orientation, Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus

  • Extremely organized and detail oriented

  • Ability to organize and drive continuous improvement
