We are currently looking for a world-class Senior Hybrid Electrical Engineer to join our vehicle development team. Candidates should be self-starters who bring positive attitude, integrity, and enthusiasm to our team as we transform personal transportation.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
- Integrate 3 phase motor controllers, batteries and accessories into aircraft and ground vehicles
- Interact closely with external suppliers and test facilities
- Track technical progress of custom part development to ensure that functional requirements are met
- Support testing, documentation and certification efforts
- Travel up to 10% to domestic and/or international partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
Required Skills and Experience
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related degree with 10+ years’ experience and a focus on power or analog electronics
- Working knowledge of electric motors, particularly permanent magnet AC motors
- Knowledge of techniques used to maintain stability of an electrical power distribution system
- Familiarity with classical control theory and finite state machines
- Experience interfacing sensors with microcontrollers
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout using modern EDA tools
