The 704 Games team, based in nearby Orlando, work on our NASCAR games franchise. In Moscow, Russia, we have a first-class development operation delivering the very latest technology for our future products as well as additional development and esports operations based in England. Our UK office is just metres away from the main entrance to the home of British motorsport at Silverstone Circuit.
Motorsport Games is currently building a team in Silverstone to lead development on its new and highly ambitious Racing Games. We are looking to grow a relatively small, tight-knit team, capable of delivering big ideas through experience, smart process, and world-class tools.
We are looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our growing team. They will work alongside the Lead Game Designer and the wider team in the development and execution of gameplay experiences that match the game vision.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of designing, iterating, and shipping high quality features and systems.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of major back-of-the-box features in exciting new licenced racing titles
- Contribute creative and innovative ideas for upcoming titles and other special projects
- Creation of high level and detailed design documentation that match the game vision
- Collaborate with teammates in other disciplines to implement, iterate, and validate features
- Champion a high quality, authentic game experience amongst the team
- Guide and mentor junior members of the Design team
Requirements
- Minimum of one shipped game title as an Experienced / Senior Designer.
- Demonstrable track record of quality design work in one or more shipped titles
- Fantastic games knowledge (both classic and contemporary), especially in racing games
- An analytical and iterative approach to solving design problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid understanding of game design process and methodology
