Senior Financial Analyst - Automotive Vehicle Program

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced (Sr.)/ Finance Analyst to support all aspects of financial management relating to a vehicle program, including vehicle program budgeting, forecasting and reporting, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely across the internal organization (Primary: Purchasing and Engineering; Secondary: Program Management, Design, IT and Quality) and with external stakeholders (Suppliers and Partners) to ensure vehicle material cost and spending remains on target
  • Lead cost forecasting, tracking and reporting for a vehicle program throughout the development lifecycle, primarily as it relates to Material Cost and Program Investment
  • Lead vehicle program-related operating expenses and capital expenditure assignments
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure quality control over financial data, transactions, and reporting
  • Maintain relevant financial controls, policies, procedures & compliance
  • Monitor cash flow to meet the organization's needs

Experience Required

  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel to extract, analyze, and report on data, at an OEM, Automotive Supplier, or equivalent
  • Proven work experience on a program finance team (vehicle or other)
  • Proficient knowledge of production automotive vehicle programs, including development cadence, tooling, ED&D and piece cost
  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SEC regulatory requirements, SOX requirements, audit committee compliance, etc.
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements and budgets
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
