Senior Finance Analyst

The key purpose of the role is to assist the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in producing meaningful, timely and accurate management information data. As Senior Finance Analyst, you will be integral to the budgeting and forecasting processes and hold overall responsibility for monitoring and reporting on various costs of the business in order to influence decision making at Executive board and Group level. You will also be will be responsible for continuing the development of the reporting suite front end in the Business Intelligence system all with the objective of improving the business partnering of the FP&A Team.

The position reports to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and offers contact with all areas of the business, providing the opportunity to present recommendations to the Executive team based on quality management information to influence the future direction and strategy of the business.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Significant input into the preparation of budgets and forecasts for P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash
  • Improve integrity of budget and forecast process through implementation of robust reporting tools and new software
  • Ensuring Execs and Senior Managers have access to relevant, accurate and good data and reports from the BI system.
  • Continuing developing internal systems and processes to improve data capture
  • Responsibility for understanding variances in non F1 related cost lines including Indycar, F1 Heritage and Overheads and providing Business Partnering to key stakeholders in these areas
  • Manage the preparation of investment appraisals and capex requests within the business

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Advanced Excel skills & IT skills
  • MS query, SQL an advantage
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and organise
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Eager to learn and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines
