Job description

At the heart of Fisker’s visionary product lies a state of the art powertrain – and you can play a central role in its delivery. We are looking for an experienced EV systems test engineer to ensure that our powertrain meets efficiency, drivability and NVH targets. You will develop test plans and execute verification testing for the complete powertrain system in vehicle and test benches. 

Fisker is a fast-moving technologically-focused startup, and in this context you will need considerable flexibility and adaptability to deal with the rapidly-developing requirements at the leading edge of EV powertrain implementation.

Skills and experience

  • Develop powertrain verification plan
  • Complete durability, performance and drivability testing 
  • Create reports and document results of tests and share with engineering team. 
  • Highlight issues found in testing and communicate to the team with proposed countermeasures
  • Establish best practices and methods for powertrain testing at Fisker.
  • Develop and implement advanced testing strategies using bench or HIL tools where possible. 
  • Strong experience with vehicle and powertrain level test systems and methods
  • Familiarity with calibration tools and test methods for in vehicle and component level testing and development. 
  • Experience with requirements management tracking and ALM tools (for example using DOORS, Polarion or JAMA)
  • Experience of effective supplier interaction
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant professional experience
  • BS or MS in electrical, mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline
